Coaches
All of our sessions are run by our England Athletics qualified coaches, supported by a team of enthusiastic athletes and event specialists. Our coaches undertake first aid training as part of their qualifications
Head coach
Bill Bingham
I have been coaching for over 12 years now and honestly say that I have loved every minute of it. Every athlete is different and I am proud to have been a small part of so many local athletes journeys. A UK athletics qualified event group coach, who can usually be found around the discus cage but I am also a qualified field official, endurance official and a qualified timekeeper.
I was awarded the 2023 Sport Godalming Volunteer Award. This award is for a coach who has:
- Demonstrated enthusiasm and commitment to a sport or club.
- Made a tremendous impact on a club or organisation through volunteering.
- Shown a commitment to personal development, team working and supporting the development of other volunteers.

Rebekah Skinner
My name is Rebekah or Bekah I have been involved with Waverley since 2016. I was a keen long-distance runner myself competing at both county and national levels with the highlight going to English Schools Cross Country 4 times so I often speak from experience. I then picked up numerous injuries through my time at University and decided with help from Bill to have a go at coaching. I love working with the athletes to watch them reach their goals and targets and developing year on year. I am super proud to be part of Waverley AC and love watching the club grow.
