CAU National Intercounties Cross Country Championships Wollaton Park Nottingham Saturday 9th March 2024

2 Waverley AC athletes travelled to Wollaton Park in Nottingham, selected to represent Surrey in their respective age groups at the CAU National Intercounties Cross Country Championships on Saturday following their performances at the Surrey Cross Country County Championships Denbies in January.

The sun came out briefly and there was only a little bit of mud on the challenging hilly course - a relief for both runners and supporters in what has been an extremely wet and often frustrating cross country season!

First to run was Isabelle G in the U13 girls finishing a very commendable 118 place out of strong field of 298 runners.

Ollie J ( 1931 ) followed in the U17 mens race finishing strongly in 42nd place in an equally large race of 290 competitors
