Junior XC League 2024-25

With a thriving junior membership, Waverley AC well as other local clubs, were, and still are, keen to get more of our members active in this form of racing. With this in mind WAVAC along with Fleet and Andover have decided to create a new, local league called the Junior Cross country League. In 2018-19 Overton Harriers and Wessex Wyverns joined. Team Kennet joined in 2020-21 and Aldershot Farnham & District.

Well done today, Jasmine leading until the final round to finish 2nd and Theo finishing 5th at Walton Excel Track. Great support from the Waverley AC coaching team.

England Athletics U15 / U17 Age Groups Championships 2024

Well done, Owen long jump PB, Mya 300m PB, Lila 75m hurdles PB. 3 Discus throwers, Tilly, Will and Scarlett. Another great social weekend at the Alexander Stadium in Birmingham.

Waverley AC finish 2nd in Wessex Young Athletes League 24

A strong win at Aldershot ,finishing the Wessex League season in second place to Swindon Harriers. Well done Waverley AC athletes, coaches and officials in another strong summer track and field season. Always great to be part of “team Waverley”

ESAA Track and Field Championships

Lots of ESAA pb’s and a bronze medal for Tilly in discus. Well done to all our Waverley AC athletes, looking forward to taking more athletes to the championships next year.

Autumn / Winter Sporthall Athletics Dates Released.

U11 Sportshall Athletics for year 5-6 athletes. Sunday 17th November and 12th January. U13 (year 7-8) and u15 (year 9-10) athletes. Sunday 27th October, 24th November and 26th January. For selected athletes, the regional final is on Sunday 16th February 2025 at The Triangle, Burgess Hill. National FInal is 12th April 2025, Fenton Manor, Stoke. Selection will be made via the WAVAC Sportshall team managers with preparation starting when we return to autumn training at the end of August 24

Wessex League Oxford - Waverley Win

A great days competition at Oxford City AC saw a strong performance from Waverley AC athletes. U11 Girls winning and an overall win for Waverley AC. Excellent commitment from our athletes making their way in numbers to Oxford, well done.

Waverley AC wins quad kids at Wessex League Oxford.

Well done to our quad kids team wining at Oxford’s Wessex League event on Sunday, Girls were 1st with the boys finishing 5th. Competing as a team in 75m sprint, 600m, long jump and howler throw, congratulations to Annabel winning overall, Felix 2nd and Tilly 3rd. Looking forward to the final round at Aldershot in July.

Godalming Run Success 2024

It was great to see so many Waverley AC athletes competing in the sunshine at Sundays Godalming 5k run. Strong performances from Scarlett and Indigo wining their categories too. Surrey AA County Championship 2024 Medal Success

Strong performances from Waverley AC athletes at the Surrey AA County Championships saw 11 individual medals won in long jump, triple jump, shot, javelin and discus. Congratulation to our 2 gold medal winners, Nat and Jasmine, both in discus.
