Waverley AC end of season throws event - Kingston

Great weather for our final end of season throws event of 2024 and to be joined by our friends from Holland Sports, Crawley, Winchester and Southampton. Great PB’s in discus for Ryan and Elsa, with Julia smashing her shot PB too. Elsa won the the biggest % increase of PB for the day - well done Elsa, great end to the season. Thanks to all our officials for helping out today.

SEAA Road Relays Rushmoor Area Aldershot Saturday 24th September 2023

Saturday 23rd September 2023 saw the return of the SEAA road relays to the Rushmoor Arena at Aldershot with 3 teams entered from Waverley AC. First up the U15 girls team Scarlet M, Heidi & Lila ran 3 x 3km to finish in 44th place Next to run were the U17 men with Harry R, Noah and Ollie J each running 4.6km to also finish in 44th place Last race of the day was the senior men and masters team of Jack B, Steve M, Giles J & Martin F over the longer 4 x 6 km course - a commendable effort in a field with some seriously fast runners !

Thursdays evening training moved to Woolmer Hill tomorrow night Thursday 21st September 2023

Training has been moved to Woolmer Hill athletics track tomorrow night due to Rodborough schools open evening. Same time 6-7:30pm. Thursday 21st September.

Tuesday: General session: Broadwater School Sportshall 6-7:30pm. Wednesday: General session: Woolmer Hill Athletics Track 6-7:30pm. \ Sprint / Hurdles Group: Woolmer Hill Athletics Track-7:30pm. Thursday: General session: Rodborough School Sportshall 6-7:30pm.

WAC Athletes SEAA Intercounties match performance today.

Great perfomances from Will (4th u15 discus), Owen (3rd u15 long jump) and Elizabeth (4th u15G discus). Selected to represent Surrey u15 - u17 at the SEAA intercounties match at Oxford. Well done.

WAC athletes compete at the highest level.

Great to see Owen, Tilly, Elizabeth, Ryan and Thomas competing at the highest level this weekend at the EA u15 - u17 championships in the Commonwealth games stadium in Birmingham. The qualification standard was very high and they all put in strong performances. What a great weekend - lets great ready and focused for the EA champs 2024.

Waverley AC success @ Kingston Summer Open

Well done to our athletes at Kingston yesterday for their Summer Open. Lots of strong performances and PB’s. The stand out performance was Scarlett’s 26.76m discus throw, the best u13 girls throw in the UK this season. SEAA 2023 Track and Field Outdoor Championships

Another successful weekend for Waverley AC athletes at the SEAA championships at Lee Valley. On Saturday Elizabeth G finished in 4th place in the U15 girls discus with a throw of 31.30m, qualifying for a place at the English Athletics Championships in Birmingham On Sunday Tilly F finished in 3rd place in the U17 womens discus Will F finished in 4th place in the U15 boys discus Owen F was pipped to 4th place by 1cm in the U15 boys long jump with a PB of 6.
